To whom?
We pay continuing education allowance for the continuing education of a working disabled person for the purpose of professional self-improvement and formal education.
Important information
The organization of formal education is regulated by the Basic Schools and Upper Secondary Schools Act, the Vocational Educational Institutions Act, the Higher Education Act, and the Private Schools Act. Continuing education is a purposeful and organized educational activity outside of formal education based on the study program.
We pay continuing education allowance to a working disabled person for partial compensation of the actual education costs incurred by them up to 613.68 euros within three calendar years starting from the first time the allowance was determined. If the disabled person themselves is not able to pay the cost of education in advance, based on the decision of the Social Insurance Board, we will pay the cost of education to the institution that provided the service to the beneficiary on the basis of an invoice.
How do I get it?
To receive an allowance for continuing education, submit an application and a continuing education cost document to the Social Insurance Board. If the employment data have not been entered from the employment register provided for in § 251 of the Tax Administration Act into the state pension insurance register, then you must also submit the employment record book or other document proving employment.
To get the allowance, submit an application to the Social Insurance Board.
There are several ways to apply:
- submit a request in self-service through communication and notification
- send the completed and digitally signed application to the Social Insurance Board's e-mail address [email protected]

- take the application to the customer service of the Social Insurance Board (customer service contact details)
